From the December 27, 1942, Americus Times-Recorder

According to the article, Troop 21 went on a 'Commando' hike shortly after Christmas in 1942.  I have not been able to determine what a 'Commando' hike was but in keeping with Troop 21 traditions; I’m sure the National Council would not have approved.
